UA Alumni meeting to be held at CCB

The Escambia County Alabama Alumni Meeting will be held Thursday, July 29 at 6:30 p.m. at the Country Club of Brewton.

Membership/Reservation forms will be mailed soon. Dr. Robert E. Witt, the University President, will be our guest speaker.

A Prime Rib/Fried Shrimp dinner will be served and the public is invited to attend.

5K to help support WSN track repair

The Brewton Area YMCA and W.S. Neal Track Team will host the Blueberry Chase 5K benefiting W.S. Neal track repairs Saturday, July 17, at 8 a.m.

The race will start and end at the YMCA in Brewton. A registration fee of $18 is due by Wednesday July 14. The fee will be $20 on raceday.

EB to have youth football registration

East Brewton Youth Football will have registration at the W.S. Neal Elementary School lunchroom Friday, July 23, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, July 24, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Table Tennis clinic to be held Saturday

The Lower Alabama Table Tennis Club is having their first annual Invitational Pong-A-Thon with players from Alabama and Florida attending along with a lead player from Japan.

A clinic will be offered Saturday by Mr. Ito and play will be Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon.
