Former T.R. Miller Tiger defensive tackle and recent graduate Johntae Brown participated in the AHSAA All Star Sports Week as a member of the South team in the North-South All Star football game Friday.

The game was played at Louis Crews Stadium in Huntsville on the campus of Alabama A&M University.

Brown had five tackles in the game for the South team, which lost to the North squad by a score of 14-7.

Brown, who was selected as the 3A Lineman of the Year in 2010, was the second consecutive T.R. Miller Tiger defensive player to play in the game as former Tiger linebacker Mabry Cook playing in the game in 2009. Cook is now playing at the University of North Alabama.

The South staff complimented Brown on his play after the game.

Also, T.R. Miller trainer Mike Miller was also involved in the sports week games as he was on the training staff for the South football squad as well. Miller works as a certified athletic trainer with Encore at D.W. McMillan Hospital in Brewton.
