Mrs. Evie Lee Brantley, 98, died Friday, Aug. 20, 2010, at her residence in Repton. She was a resident of Conecuh County for most of her life. She was a member of Oakdale Assembly of God Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Brantley; her sons, Clyde Brantley and Claude Brantley; and her daughter, Janice Knowles.

She is survived by three sons, Robert Brantley and Ray Brantley, both of Repton and Curtis Brantley of Bay Minette; two daughters, Earline Nall of Lenox and Geraldine Johnson of Excel; two sisters, Lucile Pitts and Inez Bartlett, both of Repton; 28 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug. 22, at 2 p.m. at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Benjamin Young and the Rev. Billy House officiating. Burial followed at Springhill Methodist Church Cemetery in Lenox with Monroe Chapel Funeral Home directing.
