All three T.R. Miller volleyball programs picked up wins Monday on the road at Pleasant Home.

Brewton Middle School won 2-1 to improve their record to 2-0 while the JV Lady Tigers of T.R. Miller won 2-0 to improve to 2-0.

The varsity Lady Tigers won 3-0 to improve their overall record to 2-2.

The Middle School was set to play at home Tuesday against McCall while the varsity Lady Tigers will travel to Monroe County Thursday for a 4:30 p.m. game.

In middle school action, the Lady Tigers lost the first set 18-25 before picking up a 25-11 win in set two and a 15-11 win in set three.

The JV team won 28-26 in set one and 25-17 in set two.

In varsity play, the Lady Tigers won set one 25-12, set two 25-21 and set three 25-10.

“We played a much more aggressive game tonight than we did the last time we played,” Lady Tiger head coach Greg White said. “We had a slight height advantage at the net and we took advantage of it. We had more kills tonight than we’ve had in our last couple of games. Our net play was a big topic of discussion at our last practice and we made it a priority to get better. We still have some improving to do but I liked what we did tonight. We got after it and played like T.R. Miller is supposed to play.”

Elizabeth Nelson led in set one with nine service points and six assists followed by Leah Brundidge with six service points and four assists, Natalie Neal and Amber Nelson with five kills, and Leigh Margaret Bostic with six kills.

In set two, Nelson had five service points and four assists and Emily Waters had four kills.

In set three, Haley Brown had nine straight service points to end the match while Brundidge had five and Taylor Guthrie had five kills.
