WSN B-team football falls to Andalusia Tuesday 13-0

In the first game of the 2010 football season for the W.S. Neal B-team Eagles Tuesday at home against Andalusia, the Bulldogs defeated W.S. Neal 13-0.
The loss dropped the Eagles to 0-1 to start the season.
Andalusia led 7-0 after the first quarter and added a touchdown on their first play of the fourth quarter for the win.
W.S. Neal was held to 65 total yards of offense with 16 coming in the first half (-1 rushing, 17 passing) and 49 in the second half (47 rushing, 2 passing).
Andalusia had 177 total yards rushing (91 in first half, 86 in second) and 17 passing (all second half) for a total of 194 total yards of offense (91, 103).
Trevor Burns led the Eagles rushing with 32 yards on seven carries.
Tyler Joyner was 4-for-6 passing for 15 yards with one interception. Damion Williams led W.S. Neal with two catches for six yards and Burns had one for seven yards.
In the game Tuesday both teams opened with a four-and-out with W.S. Neal having to punt on their second series.
Andalusia used a five-play scoring drive aided by a 57-yard run to set up a 3-yard score to go on top 7-0 with 22.4 seconds left in the first quarter.
The next four offensive series were both four-and-out again with W.S. Neal running out the clock in the second half trailing 7-0.
To start the second half, Josiah Nettles picked off a Bulldog pass and the Eagles got to the Andalusia 34-yard line before turning the ball over on downs.
After the turnover, Andalusia used a nine-play drive to score eight seconds into the fourth quarter and take a 13-0 lead.
W.S. Neal would get to the 26-yard line of the Bulldogs before throwing an interception of their own and Andalusia ran out the clock for the win.
W.S. Neal will be back in action Monday at 6:30 p.m. when they travel to Atmore to take on the Escambia County Blue Devils.
