Keahey outraises, outspends Joyner

Marc Keahey has outspent Danny Joyner by $46,000 in their campaign for state Senate District 22, according to campaign finance reports filed recently.
Keahey has also outraised Joyner by nearly $88,000 and has a campaign war chest of almost $255,000.
Keahey, D-Grove Hill, is the incumbent, having served the remainder of late Sen. Pat Lindsey’s term. He and Joyner faced also each other in a special election last year.
Keahey reported contributions of $91,000 during the most recent reporting period.

Keahey reported expenditures of $50,188, most of it in polling costs and advertising.
Joyner reported contributions of $3,510 during the reporting period, with expenditures of $4,066, most of it in advertising costs.
Contributers to Joyner’s campaign included two political action committees, ABC Merit PAC with $1,000 and ALFA PAC with $1,000.
