Jefferson Davis Community College celebrated its newly renovated library Wednesday with an open house at the facility.
“Open house” could describe the building itself. Transformed from its former space, which was dark with cramped rooms, the Leigh Library now has open spaces and inviting and comfortable furniture.
“The main thing is students are enjoying it,” said Jeffrey Faust, library director.
Funding for the library came from the Alabama Public School and College Authority Incentive Fund, the PSCA Education Facilities Excellence Act bond issue and from the Curtis Finlay Foundation, which provided funding for some of the furnishings.
