Native inducted into HOF

Kenneth Littles, son of Herbert and Elizabeth Littles of Brewton, was recently inducted into the University of West Alabama Athletic Hall of Fame.

Littles joined Rocky Plaia as the 51st and 52nd members of the hall of fame. Littles was inducted Saturday.

Littles, a 1983 graduate of W.S. Neal, came to UWA as a walk-on. He played in every game during his four years as a Tiger and was a first-team All-Gulf South Conference selection in 1985 as he made 84 tackles including nine for loss and 13 quarterback sacks.

As a senior in 1986, he was a first-team All-American and earned first team All-Gulf South Conference for a second time. He totaled 68 tackles that year with five for loss and 11 quarterback sacks.

Littles finished his career at UWA with 207 career tackles, 17 for loss and 31 quarterback sacks.

Littles received a B.S. Degree in Industry Technology.

This past Saturday, the UWA Athletic Hall of Fame brought distinction to the university through their athletic achievements.

Littles and Plaia served as honorary game captains at UWA’s homecoming game Saturday.
