Teams to play holiday tourneys

The W.S. Neal Eagle boys and the T.R. Miller Lady Tiger basketball teams will both play in Thanksgiving basketball tournaments beginning Monday.

W.S. Neal will travel to Flomaton and play in the Flomaton Thanksgiving tournament. The Eagles will be one of eight teams including Bayside Academy, West Tech, Baker, J.U. Blacksher, Red Level, Flomaton and Excel.

W.S. Neal will take on Baker Monday, Nov. 22 at 5 p.m.

If the Eagles win against Baker, they will play the winner of Bayside and West Tech at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

If the Eagles lose to Baker, they will play the loser of Bayside and West Tech at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The championship game of the tournament will be played Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.

The T.R. Miller Lady Tigers will play in the Choctawhatchee Thanksgiving Tournament in Ft. Walton also on Monday. T.R. Miller will be one of eight teams and will begin play Monday night at 8 p.m. against West Florida Tech.

If the Lady Tigers win, they will play at 6 p.m. Tuesday and if they lose to West Florida Tech, they will play at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

W.S. Neal was set to play at home Friday night against Pleasant Home in their third game of the season.

The Thanksgiving tournament games for the Lady Tigers of T.R. Miller will be their first games of the 2010-2011 season.

W.S. Neal is coached by Derek Roberts while T.R. Miller is coached by Ron Jackson.
