BMS sweeps McCall Monday

In their next to last game Monday on the road at McCall, the Brewton Middle School basketball teams swept the Wolves to improve their records.
The Lady Tigers of BMS defeated McCall 20-10 to improve to 8-1 while the boys totally demolished McCall 34-3 to improve to 7-2.
Brewton was set to play at Earnest Ward Tuesday night to end their season.

BMS Lady Tigers 20, McCall 10
The BMS Lady Tigers cruised in the first half against McCall to aid them in a 20-10 victory.
Brewton Middle School led 8-1 after the first quarter of play and outscored McCall 2-0 in the second quarter to lead 10-1 at the half.
In the second half, Brewton outscored McCall 10-9 to get the 10-point win. McCall outscored Brewton 5-4 in the third quarter but Brewton returned the favor in the fourth outscoring them 6-4.
Tempest Thompson led Brewton with seven points in the win followed by Keona Banks with six points. Shakira Nicholson added four points and Zakeea Knight had two points. Emonae Curry chipped in one point in the win.

BMS boys 34, McCall 3
The Brewton Middle School boys held McCall scoreless in the first, third, and four quarters while allowing only three points in the second while posting 34 in a 31-point win Monday.
Brewton led 13-0 after the first quarter and 18-3 at the half following a 5-3 advantage in the second quarter. In the third quarter, Brewton edged out McCall 10-0 to hold a 28-3 lead before outscoring them 6-0 in final quarter for the big win.
Chardian Johnson led Brewton with 15 points followed by Trae Walker’s seven. Jones Manning added five points and McHenry Coleman, Carlos Thomas and Chris Jones all had two points in the win. Ronald Young added one point for the Tigers of Brewton Middle School.
