TRM B-team and Lady Tigers beat Flomaton Tuesday, varsity falls

The T.R. Miller Tiger basketball teams went 2-1 against the Flomaton Hurricanes Tuesday night at home.
The B-team Tigers and Lady Tigers both posted wins over the Hurricanes while the varsity Tigers lost.
The B-team won 36-35 in overtime to improve their record to 3-2 while the Lady Tigers avenged an earlier loss to the Lady Hurricanes in the county tournament as they won 30-21 to improve to 9-4.
The varsity Tigers lost 58-44 to fall to 4-6.
T.R. Miller will play area opponent Bayside Academy at home Friday at 4:30 p.m. and will travel to East Brewton Saturday as they take on W.S. Neal at 4:30 p.m.

TRM B-team 36, Flomaton 35 OT
Trailing by 10 after the third quarter, the Tiger B-team rallied in the fourth quarter against Flomaton to tie the game at the end of regulation and win in overtime 36-35.
The Tigers trailed 26-16 after the third quarter, but outscored Flomaton 15-5 in the fourth to tie the game at 31-31 at the end of regulation.
In overtime, T.R. Miller edged out Flomaton 5-4 to get the win by one point.
T.R. Miller trailed 8-5 after the first quarter and after both teams scored eight points in the second quarter, trailed 16-13 at the half.
In the third quarter, Flomaton increased their lead by seven points with a 10-3 advantage.
Kieon Smith led T.R. Miller with 13 points and Dominique Jackson and Shawn Tolbert both had six points each.
Abdiel Arauz had five points and Aaron Yuhasz had four points. Allen Boyd chipped in two points in the win.

TRM Lady Tigers 30, Flomaton 21
After suffering a loss to the Lady Hurricanes of Flomaton in the Escambia County tournament earlier in the year, the T.R. Miller Lady Tigers edged out the Hurricanes 30-21 Tuesday at home.
Flomaton led T.R. Miller 7-3 after the first quarter, but T.R. Miller stormed back in the second quarter with a 10-4 advantage to lead 13-11 at the half.
In the third quarter, T.R. Miller increased their lead to 25-16 after holding a 12-5 advantage in the quarter.
In the fourth, both teams scored five points each as T.R. Miller grabbed the win by nine points.
Leah Brundidge led T.R. Miller with 12 points and Adrian Gibbs and Courtney Jones both had six. Sha Kiser added four points and Diamond Middleton chipped in two points.

FHS 58, TRM varsity 44
After picking up their fourth win last week in Clarke County, the Tigers lost to Flomaton 58-44 Tuesday night.
The Hurricanes edged out T.R. Miller 15-13 in the first quarter and 10-5 in the second to lead by seven at the half, 25-18.
In the third quarter, Flomaton held an 11-8 advantage to increase their lead to 10 points, 36-26.
In the fourth, Flomaton outscored T.R. Miller 22-18 to get the win by 14 points.
Caleb Dickey and Mark Bryant both had eight points for T.R. Miller in the loss and Jaquan Dewberry added seven points. Marc Edge and Kameron Winn had five points each and Caleb Hubbard and Antonio Payne had four each. Darrion Salter chipped in three points in the loss.
