JDCC defeats Bishop State at home Thursday, improves record to 8-9 overall

After a tight first half, the Jefferson Davis Community College pulled out a 72-66 win in the second half at home Thursday night against Bishop State.
With the win, the Warhawks of JDCC improved their record to 8-9 overall and to 5-3 in conference play.
The win was the third out of four games for the Warhawks.
JDCC and Bishop State were tied at 31-31 at the end of the first half Thursday but outscored Bishop by six points in the second half, 41-35, to get the win.
Due to a camera malfunction, only scorers in the win were known.
Braylon Lazare led the Warhawks with 22 points and Brandon Scott had 12.
Turmonte Ragland and eight points along with Larel Jackson and Gabriel Rice had seven points.
Daryl Duncan had five points and Sherman Presswood had four. Kahlee Tyler and Eric Vidrine had three points each in the win.
JDCC will be back in action Monday at Chattahoochee Valley. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. EST.
