Mrs. Vera Luverne Joiner, 87, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2011 in a Foley hospital. She was a native of Rabon and had been a resident of Robertsdale for the past 10 years, coming from Georgia. She was a homemaker and a member of Victory Lighthouse Ministries. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Elvie Lou Capers Smith and a son, James Edward Hall.
She is survived by a son, Willie Gene (Maxine) Hall of Foley; two daughters, Leola (Leo) Howard of Robertsdale and Vera Marie (Bill Hall) of Castleberry; a sister, Annie Lucille Joiner of Stockton; 13 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 27, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Craver’s Funeral Home with the Rev. James Roberts and the Rev. Carole Roberts officiating. Burial followed at Flat Rock Cemetery.
