The varsity Lady Tigers won 8-6 to improve their record to 2-1 while the JV Lady Tigers won 5-4 to get their first win of the season and improve to 1-2. Both wins for the Lady Tigers were come-from-behind wins.

TRM varsity 8, Flomaton 6
Trailing by two in the sixth inning, the T.R. Miller Lady Tigers scored four runs to help them get an 8-6 win over the Lady Hurricanes of Flomaton.
T.R. Miller trailed 5-1 after the second inning, but rallied with three runs in the third to cut the lead to 5-4.
After Flomaton scored one run in the top of the fourth to take a 6-4 lead, T.R. Miller used a four-run sixth inning to take an 8-6 lead and held Flomaton scoreless in the seventh to win.
In the seventh, Flomaton loaded the bases with two outs, but failed to score.
“What a great win,” T.R. Miller Lady Tiger head coach Greg White said. “I thought we showed a lot of character and toughness by hanging in there. We had a few opportunities to lose this game but in the end we found a way to win it. Our kids played real hard the entire game and had great enthusiasm even when we were down. Just a great win for these kids.”
White said they mixed it up a little offensively and kept the Flomaton defense honest. “The bottom of our order came up big in bottom of the sixth inning and provided us with base runners and ultimately the game winning double by Kristin Booker,” White said.
Along with Booker’s two-run single in the sixth to go 1-for-3, Audrey Hamric was 3-for-4 with one RBI and Leah Brundidge had one RBI.
Natalie Neal was 1-for-2 with a double and Taylor Guthrie was 1-for-3 with a double and three RBIs.
Emily Waters was 2-for-3 with a double and Takeysia McFugerson was 1-for-3.
On the mound for the Lady Tigers, Taylor Guthrie got the start and the no-decision. Guthrie went three innings allowing five runs, three earned, four hits, walked three and struck out one.
Miranda Smith earned the win in relief of Guthrie going the final four innings allowing one run, two hits, walked one and struck out three.

TRM JV 5, Flomaton 4
Just like their varsity teammates did in the earlier game, the JV Lady Tigers rallied in the final inning to get their first win 5-4.
After leading 3-1 at the end of the first inning, the Lady Tigers saw Flomaton score two runs in the third inning and one in the fourth to take a 4-3 lead.
In the bottom of the fifth and final inning, the Lady Tigers scored two runs to get the win by one, 5-4.
Moriah Brundidge earned the win on the mound for the Lady Tigers going the complete game five innings allowing four runs, none earned, on one hit, walked 11, struck out six, and hit one.
Ali Taylor was 1-for-3 for T.R. Miller and Jessica Allan was 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Kelsey Thompson was 1-for-3 with the game-winning RBI and Krystal Bell was 1-for-2.
Brundidge was 1-for-2 with a three-run inside-the-park homerun and Erin Wade was 1-for-2.
“I was very proud of the JV for finding a way to win the game,” White said. “Moriah pitched well for us a we made some big plays on defense to keep us in the game. This was a great win for these kids also.”
