The T.R. Miller Lady Tiger JV softball team has been busy as of late. The Lady Tigers played four games in the Thomasville tournament Saturday and swept a doubleheader at Hillcrest Monday.
With the recent wins, the Lady Tigers improved their record to 7-3 overall.
“These girls have played a lot of games over the last three days,” Lady Tiger head coach Greg White said. “We won six of the seven games that we played and came in third place in the Thomasville tournament on Saturday. I’m proud of that for the girls but I’m also proud of the fact that we got to play so many games in a short period of time. These girls got a lot of quality at bats and our pitchers got a lot of work. This will help us out down the road and make us a better team.”
At the Thomasville tournament, the Lady Tigers defeated Thomasville 13-3, Fruitdale 19-1, and Leroy 12-0 before losing to Excel 5-4.
