WSN softball loses 1-0 at Thomasville

The W.S. Neal Lady Eagle softball team lost a heartbreaker Monday in an area game at Thomasville.
The Lady Eagles lost 1-0 to fall to 5-5 overall and to 1-2 in area play.
With the game tied 0-0 in the sixth inning, Thomasville scored the lone run of the game to get the win.
W.S. Neal had three hits in the loss and committed one error while Thomasville had four hits and one error.
Autumn Hinote was 1-for-2 for the Lady Eagles and had a walk and Haley Lum and Britta Wood were both 1-for-3.
Kaitlin Hadaway pitched for the Lady Eagles and took the loss. Hadaway pitched seven innings facing 24 batters striking out four and allowing four hits, one walk and one run, and none earned. The lone run advanced on an error.
W.S. Neal will play at Monroe County Thursday at 4 p.m. in another area game.
