WSNMS baseball rallies for win over Flomaton

In a single, seven inning game Tuesday at home for the W.S. Neal Middle School baseball team, the Eagles rallied to beat Flomaton 13-9. With the win, W.S. Neal improved to 8-7.
Trailing 6-0 after the first inning, W.S. Neal cut the lead to 6-2 with two runs in the second only to see Flomaton take a 7-2 lead with one run in the fifth.
In the bottom of the fifth, W.S. Neal scored six runs to take an 8-7 lead only to see Flomaton tie the game with one in the sixth at 8-8.
In the bottom of the fifth, W.S. Neal used a five-run inning to take a 13-8 lead and hold on for the win after Flomaton scored one in the seventh.
Miles Powell led the Eagles at the plate with a 3-for-3 day. Powell had a double and a triple and five RBIs in the win. Justin Sessions was 1-for-2 with two RBIs and Dakota Grave was 1-for-3 with two RBIs. Nick Laster went 1-for-2 with a double and two RBIs and Colton Morris was 1-for-2. Bryce Booker, Lane Chavers, and TyShawn Davis all had hits in the win for the Eagles.
Rob Jones earned the win on the mound for the Eagles. Jones went two innings allowing two runs, two hits, walked three and struck out two. Morris earned the save striking out one.
