JDCC baseball loses two, now 13-19-1

The Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawk baseball team saw their losing streak grow to six games recently as they lost to Wallace State-Dothan 9-7 and 13-2.
With the losses, JDCC fell to 13-19-1 overall and to 3-9 in conference play.
WSD 9, JDCC 7
Despite having out hit Wallace State 17-13, the Warhawks fell 9-7.
Wallace State led 9-2 after the top of the seventh, but saw JDCC scored three in the bottom of the inning and two in the ninth to cut the lead to two.
Corey Thompson took the loss on the mound for the Warhawks going 3 2/3 innings allowing five hits, six runs, walked none and struck out four.
Lee Hunter was 1-for-4 with one RBI and Nathan Edwards was 3-for-5 with a homerun and two RBIs.
Brandon Blackwelder had two doubles for JDCC going 2-for-5. Stuart Todd had one RBI and Tyler Walker was 1-for-2 with two RBIs. Matthew Watkins was 1-for-1 and Bill Hamrick was 1-for-2. Robbie Jernigan was 3-for-5.
WSD 13, JDCC 2
In game two, JDCC was held to four hits in a 13-2 loss.
Blackwelder was 1-for-2 with one RBI and Todd was 1-for-2. Dustin Bickmeyer was 1-for-1 with one RBI and Jernigan was 1-for-2.
Jeremy Barnes took the loss for JDCC going three innings allowing seven hits, seven runs, walked one and struck out one.
