After an emotional win over Thomasville, W.S. Neal lost to Monroe County at home Thursday 9-7 to fall to 7-6 overall and 3-3 in area play.
“Errors on defense got us in a hole early that we could not overcome,” Haney said.
W.S. Neal had 11 hits in the game led by Britta Wood who went 2-for-3 with a walk and one run scored. Lauren Boatwright was 2-for-4 with two runs and Haley Lum was 2-for-4 with one run.
Kaitlin Hadaway gave up 10 hits and had 13 strikeouts.
