WSN JV baseball gets first loss

The W.S. Neal JV baseball team played in the Flomaton JV Tournament Saturday and suffered their first losses of the season.
The JV Eagles went 1-2 in the tournament to drop their overall record to 9-2-2.
W.S. Neal beat Jay 9-2 in the opener. Jeremy Myers got the win on the mound and also hit a homerun for the Eagles.
In their second game, the Eagles were beating Northview 4-1 in the fifth inning until they made an error with two outs which made it 4-2. Then, the next batter for Northview hit a 3-run homerun to beat the Eagles 5-4. In the tournament finale, W.S. Neal lost to Flomaton 5-0.
Monday’s games at Northview were cancelled.
W.S. Neal was set to end their season Tuesday at T.R. Miller.
