WSN baseball sweeps TRM

In the first game of the season between the No. 8 W.S. Neal Eagles and the T.R. Miller Tigers in East Brewton, the Eagles rallied to stun the Tigers 7-6 with four runs in the bottom of the seventh.
Tuesday night in Brewton in the bottom of the seventh, the T.R. Miller Tigers found themselves down 7-2 before putting together their own rally against the Eagles to cut the lead to 7-5 with three runs in the inning, but left two runners on base and the winning run at the plate to lose by two as the Eagles got the season sweep over the Tigers.
With the win, W.S. Neal improved to 17-5 overall while T.R. Miller fell to 11-4.
The JV teams ended their season prior to the varsity game with the Tigers getting a 12-8 win over the Eagles.
With the win, T.R. Miller ended their season with a 5-6 record while W.S. Neal ended with a 9-3-2 record.
No other stats from the game were known.

The W.S. Neal Eagles held off the T.R. Miller Tigers late Tuesday night in Brewton to claim a two-run win over the Tigers, 7-5, and complete the season sweep over their rivals.
W.S. Neal scored three runs in the first inning and two in the fifth to build an early 5-0 lead over the Tigers.
After T.R. Miller cut the lead to 5-2 in the fourth, W.S. Neal got the two runs back in the fifth to take a 7-2 lead.
After neither team scored in the sixth and W.S. Neal failed to score in the top of the seventh, the Tigers put together a late rally, showing signs of a comeback against the Eagles in the same fashion W.S. Neal beat T.R. Miller earlier in the season at home.
T.R. Miller cut the lead to 7-5 in the bottom of the inning with two outs and had runners on first and second and the winning run at the plate but could not score anymore as they lost by two.
W.S. Neal had only five hits in the win while T.R. Miller had six.
The Eagles left four runners on base and committed six errors while T.R. Miller made three errors and left nine runners on base.
Brian Settle earned the win on the mound for the Eagles going six innings and allowing four hits, four runs, two earned, walked three, struck out five and hit two.
Keith Bradley went the final inning and allowed two hits, one earned run, walked none and struck out one.
Damion Williams swung the hot bat for the Eagles going 3-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs.
Reid Johnson and Settle were both 1-for-3 at the plate for the Eagles.
Shawn Odom took the loss on the mound for the Tigers going three innings allowing four hits, five runs, three earned, walked three and struck out five.
Joseph Strength pitched two innings and allowed one hit, two runs, one earned, walked, hit and struck out one.
Kevin Davis pitched two innings and hit one and struck out four.
At the plate for the Tigers, Jacob Fillmore led the Tigers going 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.
Conner Denton was 1-for-4 with a double and Ryan Hunt was 1-for-3. Christian Lodge was 1-for-1 with one RBI and Caleb McAnally had one RBI in the loss for the Tigers.
