TRM softball to play in spring break tournaments

The T.R. Miller Lady Tiger softball team will play in two tournaments in the coming days.
The Lady Tigers will play in the Greenville tournament Saturday and will begin play in a tournament in Gulf Shores Monday during their spring break.
Greenville tourney:
In Greenville, the Lady Tigers will begin play at 9 a.m.
The Lady Tigers will play Jeff Davis and follow that game with a 10:15 a.m. game against Brewbaker Tech.
At 12:45 p.m., the Lady Tigers will play Luverne. A single elimination tournament starts at 3:30 p.m.
The tournament will be at the City of Greenville Softball Complex on Highway 10-West April 9.
The pool-play tournament will begin at 9 a.m. and continue throughout the day with eight teams competing. The championship game is set 5 p.m.
Pool A will consist of Montgomery’s Jeff Davis Lady Vols, Luverne, Brewbaker Tech of Montgomery and T.R. Miller High School. Greenville heads up Pool B along with Goshen, Clarke County and Paul Bryant High School of Tuscaloosa.
The culmination of the tournament will be the championship game which will feature the top two teams from each pool. There will be a 75 minute time-limit on each game (except the championship game) with no new inning starting after 70 minutes.
Concessions will be available on-site during the tournament. Admission is $6.
Gulf Shores tourney:
Monday in Gulf Shores, the Lady Tigers will play at 8 a.m. against Athens and will also play at 8:15 p.m. against Oneonta.
Tuesday, the Lady Tigers will begin play at 8 a.m. against Benjamin Russell. The Lady Tigers will play Lynn at 9:45 a.m. and West Morgan at 1:15 p.m.
Single elimination begins Wednesday morning.
