WSN softball loses to Jackson

In a Tuesday area game on the road at Jackson, the W.S. Neal Lady Eagle softball team lost 3-1.
Jackson scored one in the second to take an early lead, but saw W.S. Neal score one in the fourth inning to tie the game. From there, Jackson scored one run in the fifth and one in sixth and held W.S. Neal scoreless to get the win.
With the loss, the Lady Eagle fell to 7-7 overall and 3-4 in area play.
Kaitlin Hadaway pitched six innings for the Lady Eagles and took the loss. Hadaway struck out three and walked none while giving up five hits.
W.S. Neal had two hits in the loss with Paige Grantham going 1-for-3 with one RBI and Anna Nelson also going 1-for-3. Haley Lum scored the lone run after reaching base on an
error.
W.S. Neal made three errors in the loss while Jackson made two.
The Lady Eagles were set to play at Hillcrest Thursday in an area game and take on Jay at home Friday at 4:30 p.m.
