JDCC softball now 22-26

The Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawk softball team recently went 4-4 in their eight-game stretch to improve their overall record to 22-26 and 6-12 in conference play.
The Lady Warhawks split with Enterprise State, was swept by Faulkner State, split with LBW and swept Huntingdon College Sunday.
JDCC lost game one to Enterprise 9-0 but won game two 6-2. Against Faulkner State, JDCC lost 11-3 and 4-1.
In the split with LBW, the Lady Warhawks lost game one 7-2 and won game two 3-2. Sunday in a postponed game with Huntingdon, JDCC won 6-0 and 11-0.
JDCC softball will take on Alabama Southern at home Tuesday in a 2 and 4 p.m. doubleheader.

Enterprise 9, JDCC 0
Against Enterprise in game one, JDCC was held to three hit and no runs while committing two errors while Enterprise scored nine runs on nine hits and made no errors in the 9-0 win.
Brittany McCastle, Ashley Killan and Nataline Moseley were all 1-for-2 at the plate for JDCC in the loss.
Alley Smith took the loss on the mound going 2/3 of an inning allowing two runs, two hits, walked and struck out none.
Enterprise scored seven runs in the fourth inning to get the win after scoring two in the first.

JDCC 6, Enterprise 2
In game two, JDCC took a 6-2 win.
JDCC scored three runs each in the third and the sixth innings while Enterprise scored one in the fifth and seventh.
Elise Schanley was 1-for-3 and Andrea Ruschel was 1-for-4 along with Brittany McCastle.
Mallori Armstrong was 1-for-3 and Amber Steadham was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Moseley was 1-for-2 and Danielle McCastle was 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Jennifer Morris was 1-for-3 with one RBI.
McCastle had two doubles and a triple.
Brittany Linton earned the win on the mound going seven innings and allowing five hits, two runs, none earned, walked two and struck out five.

Faulkner 11, JDCC 3
JDCC saw their record fall to 19-24 overall and 5-10 in conference play after losing 11-3 to Faulkner in game one.
Schanley was 1-for-3 with one RBI and Brittany McCastle, Kayla Hayes, Armstrong and Steadham all had hits in the loss. Danielle McCastle had one RBI and Morris was 1-for-3 in the loss.
Smith took the loss on the mound going 2/3 of an inning allowing two hits, five runs, walked one and struck out none.

Faulkner 4, JDCC 1
With the game tied at 1-1 after six innings, Faulkner scored three runs in the seventh innings to take game two 4-1.
Danielle McCastle was 1-for-4 and Schanley was 1-for-3 with one RBI. Kayla Hayes was 1-for-1 along with Brittany McCastle going 1-for-2.
McCastle added a double in the loss.
Linton took the loss on the mound for JDCC going seven innings allowing five hits, four runs, walked four and struck out three.

LBW 7, JDCC 2
Despite having 13 hits in game one against LBW, the Lady Warhawks lost by five runs, 7-2.
Schanley was 3-for-4 in the loss at the plate for JDCC and Ruschel was 2-for-4 with one RBI.
Armstrong was 2-for-3 and Steadham was 2-for-4. Moseley was 1-for-3 with one RBI and Danielle McCastle was 1-for-4. Morris was 2-for-4.
JDCC pitched four pitchers in the loss including Jessica Myrick, Smith, Linton and Laura Bishop. Combined on the mound, JDCC allowed four hits, seven runs, two earned, walked and struck out two in six innings.

JDCC 3, LBW 2
In game two against LBW, JDCC won 3-2.
Linton pitched the complete game for the Lady Warhawks going seven innings and allowing eight hits, two runs, none earned, walked three and struck out four.
Ruschel was 1-for-3 and Brittany McCastle was 2-for-3. Hayes was 1-for-3 along with Armstrong, Steadham and Danielle McCastle.
Morris was 1-for-4. Steadham and McCastle had one RBI each in the loss.

JDCC 6, Huntingdon 0
Against Huntingdon Sunday, JDCC picked up a shutout win in game one 6-0.
Armstrong was 2-for-3 with two RBIs in the win and Steadham was 1-for-2 with one RBI.
Moseley was 2-for-4 with one RBI and Danielle McCastle was 3-for-4. Morris was 1-for-3 with one RBI.
On the mound for JDCC, Myrick pitched two innings allowing three hits, no runs, walked one and struck out none.
Loren McVicker pitched five innings allowing two hits, no runs, walked two and struck out three.

JDCC 11, Huntingdon 0
In game two, the Lady Warhawks earned another shutout win, winning 11-0 to improve to 22-26 overall.
Schanley was 1-for-4 with one RBI and Ruschel was 3-for-3. Brittany McCastle was 2-for-3 and Hayes was 1-for-3. Armstrong was 2-for-3 with one RBI and Steadham was 1-for-4 with one RBI.
Moseley was 1-for-3 with three RBIs and Danielle McCastle was 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Morris was 1-for-4.
Morris pitched for JDCC pitching five innings allowing four hits, no runs, no walks, and struck out two.
