A Brewton man was charged Friday after police said they made an undercover drug buy from him.

Michael Burns Booker, 22, of Mason Mill Pond Road, was arrested and charged with unlawful distribution of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Sgt. Andrew Casey with the Brewton Police Department’s narcotics division said agents had been investigating Booker for several months.

“Agents were able to purchase narcotics from Booker, which resulted in the charges against him,” Casey said.

Agents got warrants for Booker’s arrest and picked him up after spotting him traveling in the city.

“Agents are also investigating several of his accomplices, and more arrests are likely to come,” Casey said.
