Chamber hosts golf event

The Brewton Area Chamber of Commerce hosted their sixth annual golf tournament Thursday at the Country Club of Brewton.
Eleven teams of four played in the tournament with 44 total golfers.
Goodway Refining took first place in the tournament followed by Davis Supply Company and Bank of Brewton.
Rucker Brown, John Hart, Will Smith and David Peace were team members on the Goodway Refining team and on the Davis Supply Company team, team members included Tommy Thompson, Keith Megginson, Ed Williamson and Chris Smith.
The Bank of Brewton consisted of Don Ward, Charlie McDaniel, Paul Owens and Jack Cain.
Michelle Hart with the Chamber said they wanted to say special thanks to their corporate sponsors, teams and hole sponsors for supporting their event.

Other awards at the tournament included closest to the pin, longest and straightest drive.
Winning closest to the pin were Don Ward and Alan Thompson. Longest drive went to Chris Smith and straightest drive went to Ed Williamson.
