TRM softball to host summer play day

The T.R. Miller Lady Tiger softball team will be joined by six other teams Friday, June 17, for a summer play date.
The Lady Tigers, along with Pleasant Home, Gulf Shores, Thomasville, Baldwin County, Opp, and Flomaton will play in the tournament that will begin at 9 a.m. at the Brewton YMCA Sports Park and conclude with the last game starting at 4:20 p.m.
Each team will play four games with T.R. Miller playing Pleasant Home at 9 a.m., Gulf Shores at 11:20 a.m., Opp at 2 p.m. and Thomasville at 4:20 p.m. The Lady Tigers will not play Baldwin County or Flomaton.
Games will be five innings or a one-hour time limit. The 15-run rule and the 10-run rule will be in effect and a coin toss will determine the home team. The concession stand will be open at the park and admission will be $5 and will be good for all day.
All T.R. Miller games will be played on Field D.
Other games on Field D will be Thomasville and Gulf Shores playing at 10:10 a.m. and Baldwin County and Opp at 12:30 p.m.
At 1:30 p.m., a lunch break and field repair time will be held until games resume at 2 p.m.
At 3:10 p.m. on Field D, Pleasant Home and Flomaton will play followed by T.R. Miller and Thomasville in the final game.
On Field A at 9 a.m. Flomaton and Baldwin County will play followed by Flomaton and Opp squaring off at 10:10 a.m.
At 11:20 a.m., Baldwin County and Pleasant Home will play followed by Thomasville and Flomaton at 12:30 p.m.
At 2 p.m., Pleasant Home and Gulf Shores will tangle followed by Baldwin County and Thomasville at 3:10 p.m.
At 4:20 p.m., Gulf Shores and Opp will play the last game.
