Brewton Standard wins awards

The Brewton Standard was named one of the best community weeklies in the state Saturday night at the annual Alabama Press Association summer convention.
The newspaper received the second place award in the general excellence category and second place in advertising sweepstakes.
“We are proud anytime we win awards for doing our job, but our best reward is always serving our readers,” Publisher Kerry Whipple Bean said.
