Digs, bumps and attacks filled the Flomaton High School gymnasium this week with the Summer Volleyball Bash for county teams.
W.S. Neal High School’s volleyball team participated in the event and found themselves both winners and losers during several days of play.
On Tuesday, the WSN team went 2-2 overall. Wednesday, the team lost to Jay, Fla., losing 2-1 after winning the first set against the team.
Also Wednesday the WSN team took on teams from Mobile Christian, Cottage Hill and Saraland.
In the match against Saraland, WSN’s team came out a winner taking the win by a score of 2-0; 25-18; 25-18.
The East Brewton team’s luck changed in the match up against Cottage Hill. Taking a check in the loss column, Cottage Hill beat WSN 2-0; 25-8; 25-17.
That streak would continue for WSN against Mobile Christian adding another loss to the tally. Mobile Christian downed the Eagles 2-0; 25-22; 25-16.
