An Atmore teenager faces charges after officials said he was indicted after allegations of “sexting.”
The relatively new term relates to sending pornographic images to others by means of cell phones equipped with messaging capabilities.
James D. Jackson, 18, of Atmore, was arrested on four counts of distributing pornography to a minor.
No other details were available Monday in connection with that case.
That arrest and others kept the Escambia County Sheriff’s Department busy last week after a particularly productive grand jury session.

“We had a number of arrests after the grand jury met,” Smith said. “Typically, we will have a large number of arrests after they meet. This was a particularly productive session of the grand jury.”
