Escambia County Chief Deputy Mike Lambert instructs volunteers Thursday morning.

Rufus David Blair has been located alive by search teams in Conecuh County this morning. Details remain sketchy and his physical condition has not been made known at this time.
Chief Deputy Mike Lambert said Blair’s car was discovered last Wednesday by a fisherman along Red Wine Creek near Castleberry. Blair was not with the vehicle when the discovery was made.
Search crews including volunteers from Escambia, Conecuh, Monroe Counties and surrounding communities converged on the Castleberry community Thursday morning as a search for Blair resumed.
Officials searched throughout the area where the vehicle was found in efforts to locate Blair. During the search Thursday morning, a shoe was found along the creek with family members positively identifying it as belonging to Blair.
