“The Clarke County match was a battle,” T.R. Miller Lady Tiger head coach Greg White said. “Their girls came out playing hard and kind of hit us in the mouth and let us know they were ready to play. We were able to pull out a big 3-2 area win on the road over a very tough opponent. We didn’t do a lot of things perfect on the night but I was proud of the fact that we just kept playing hard and we found a way to win. As a coach you always want things to go perfect and sometimes that just doesn’t happen. On days like that you just have to do what you have to do to get the win. And that’s what we did tonight. We played with a little Miller pride when we needed it most.”

Against Washington County in the second game of the tri-match, T.R. Miller won 3-0.
The Lady Tigers won game one 25-10, game two 25-21 and game three 25-14.
Brundidge led with eight service points and four kills. Amber Nelson had nine service points, four kills and three blocks.
In the game two win, McNamara had nine service points and Guthrie had four points, six kills and two blocks. Karisa Nelson added five service points and seven assists.
In game three, Amber Nelson had six service points, seven kills and four blocks in the win while Karisa Nelson added six service points, eight assists and two kills.
“Against Washington County we had an advantage on the net with our hitters and we used it throughout the night,” White said. “We moved up three of our JV players and they got a lot of playing time tonight and they provided our team with a little spark. I’m glad that they were able to get some varsity experience.”
