Brewton Mites defeat Milton Gold

The Brewton Mites improved their record to 5-1 Saturday against Milton Gold. Demonte Jenkins called his own number for a 50-yard touchdown to open the game. Jenkins had a total of 93 rushing yards on the day.
Toby Jenkins bulldozed his way through a pack of Panthers to earn 86 yards on the ground and two touchdowns.
The first was a 2-yard rushing touchdown and the second was a broken tackle, 42-yard spring to the end zone. Jamal Duggins and Braidyn Jackson were credited with the extra points.
Fumble recoveries by Da’Quan Johnson and Braidyn Jackson turned the momentum to the Tigers. The Tiger defense led by Tavous Smith, Devonta Bradley and Aquarius Taylor held the Panthers until Milton scored their only touchdown with time expiring.
An extra points was tacked on to Milton’s score ending the game in a Brewton win 20-8.
The Brewton Midgets lost to Milton Gold 30-0 and the Mini Mites lost to Milton Gold 26-0.
Despite the defensive efforts of Jaxson Wolfe, Landon Lindsey and Darius Webb, the Brewton Mini Mites lost Saturday. Highlighting the game was a fumble recovery by Chaz Pierre-Louis and an interception by Jacorey McMillan.
No information was known from the Midgets.
