In a steady mist throughout the whole game Monday in Brewton, the T.R. Miller B-team Tiger football team held on for an 8-0 win over the Opp Bobcats at Brewton Municipal Stadium.
After a scoreless first quarter from both teams, T.R. Miller got on the board in the second quarter for their lone and the only touchdown of the game when McHenry Coleman scored on a 4-yard run with 4:21 left before the half.
Leading 8-0 over the Opp Bobcats late in the game, the two squads exchanged fumbles with each other. After a T.R. On the very next Tiger play, T.R. Miller fumbled the ball right back to the Bobcats who set up shop at the 43-yard line with 40.8 seconds left to play trying to tie the game up.
On first down, the Bobcats connected for a pass play for an 11-yard gain to the Tiger 32-yard line and then converted on a 4-yard play to the Tiger 28.
A spike second down stopped the clock and the Bobcats had incomplete passes on third and fourth downs as the Tigers earned the win by eight.
