Brewton Mites, Midgets defeat Jay

The Brewton Mites shutout the Jay Royals 25-0 Saturday at home on homecoming to improve their record to 6-1.
Devonta Bradley ran for two touchdowns in the first quarter to help Brewton claim an early lead on the Royals. The first touchdown was scored off a fumble recovery and the second was a rushing touchdown from 29 yards out.
Da’Quan Johnson would later have an interception return for touchdown in the second quarter to push the score to 19-0 in favor of the Tigers.
Jenkins had 79 yards rushing in the win and later called his own number with a 32-yard touchdowns to make the final scored 25-0.
Handling the Royals on defense was Braidyn Jackson, Jenkins, Tavaous Smith, Aquarious Taylor, Logan Bush, Jaedyn Crosby and Cody Hall.
The Tigers will travel to Pace Blue for the final game of the regular season Saturday.
The Brewton Mini-Mites lost to Jay 21-0 while the Midgets won 31-0.
In the Midgets win, Michael Campbell, Jr., had a 10-yard touchdown, a 28-yard touchdown and a 31-yard pass and a 60-yard pass to Darius Williams.
DeMarquis McMillan had a 60-yard run and a 15-yard run in the win.
On defense, Williams, Joshua Jolly, Uri Lowe and D’Shoz Lett all made plays with Lett having an interception.
In homecoming festivities, the mini-mites king and queen was Jaxson Wolfe and Angilica Ellis. For the Mites, the king and queen was Brion Dees and Makalya Jones. For the midgets, the king was Malik Jackson and the queen was Stephanie Hidgdon.
