TRM CC girls place first, boys take second

In their final regular season cross country meet Tuesday in Northview, the T.R. Miller Lady Tiger cross country team finished in first place while the boys varsity Tiger team placed second.
The Lady Tigers placed first out of six teams as they defeated second place Jay by 11 points. PCA finished in third place followed by Northview, Baker and Central in sixth place.
For the boys, PCA defeated T.R. Miller by 14 points to claim first place. Tate finished in third place followed by Central and Northview.
Karisa Nelson led the Lady Tigers with an overall first place finish with a time of 18:29. Allie Nelson finished in second place with a time of 20:54 and Katie Nelson placed third with a time of 21:11. Amber Nelson had a time of 22:37 and placed eighth and Breann Huff placed 13th with a time of 23:40. Katie Baggett placed 14th with a time of 23:48 and Amber Terry placed 15th with a time of 24:15.
Ashley Daugherty had a time of 28:17 for 34th place and Hannah Blair and Taylor Guthrie rounded out the Lady Tigers with a time of 28:36 and 30:33 respectively.
For the varsity Tigers, Rob Stokes led with a second place finish with a time of 17:36 and Andrew Pollitte had a time of 18:53 with a seventh place finish.
Christian Carlson had a time of 19:20 for 10th place overall and Carter Frezell placed 20th with a time of 20:40. Ryan Snowden had a time of 21:20 for 27th place finish and Ramon Castro finished in 31st place with a time of 21:51.
Stewart Campbell finished with a time of 23:24 for a 47th place finish and Travis Carlson had a time of 23:54 for 52nd place. Nash Diercks finished with a time of 23:55 for 53rd place and Austin Rowell had a time of 26:35 for 68th place finish. Gavin McNeil finished 72nd with a time of 27:48 and Christopher Guthrie rounded out the Tigers with a time of 30:35 for 76th place.
The Tigers will run in the 3A sectionals Thursday, Nov. 3 in Auburn with the 3A state meet scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 12, at Moulton.
