The Brewton Mites were named district champions Saturday after beating Pace Blue 12-0. The Tigers also held this title last year. The Tigers finished the regular season with a 7-1 record.
Demonte Jenkins had 150 yards with a 15-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter. Cody Hall had the second and final touchdown in the fourth and was the leading tackler of the day. Toby Jenkins added 72 yards to his rushing totals and had a fumble recovery in the win.
Da’Quan Johnson picked up two fumble recoveries and had 20 yards for the Tigers. The Tigers will compete in the first round of the playoffs in Myrtle Grove on Nov. 12.
