Weekend Habitat build postponed

A mechanical glitch at a fabrication plant is causing a delay in plans of the Habitat for Humanity group this weekend.
Alecia Glaize, director for the group, said plans for the initial wall-raising day have been changed due to the problems.
“There has been a mechanical breakdown at the plant that constructs some of the pre-fabricated portions of our houses,” Glaize said. “Because of that we are postponing the beginning of our project this weekend.”
Glaize said the new start time and date for the East Brewton building project will be Friday, Nov. 11 at 8 a.m.
“We will raise the walls at that time and get the project going full steam,” Glaize said. “With this delay, now, more than ever, will need everyone’s help to have the Thompson family in their new home in time for the holidays.”
