Mr. Jessie Johnny Minchew, 49, of Mayo Street in East Brewton died Friday, Nov. 18, 2011 at his residence after a brief illness. He was a native of Verheim, Germany and long time resident of East Brewton. He was a 1980 graduate of W.S. Neal High School and later graduated from Reid State Technical College and was employed as a hammer mill operator at Truss Joist for 10 years. He was of the Nazarene faith.

He is survived by three brothers, Clayton J. (Janice) Minchew of Jefferson City, Tenn., Mack Minchew and Ernest (Patricia) Minchew, both of East Brewton; one sister, Janet Minchew (Rusty) Glass of Castleberry; a number of nieces, newphews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Bro. William Cross officiating.

Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
