TRM Lady Tigers fall to 0-2

In their second game this season and their second game in the Choctawhatchee Thanksgiving Tournament Tuesday, the T.R. Miller Lady Tiger basketball team saw their record fall to 0-2 as they lost to Spanish Fort 45-39.
The Lady Tigers were scheduled to play their final game in the tournament today at 3 p.m. against Pensacola Catholic in the seventh and eighth place game.
The Lady Tigers will be back in action at home Tuesday against Atmore. Game time is set for 4:30 p.m.
In the game Tuesday, the Lady Tigers trailed 15-10 after the first quarter and 27-16 at the half following a 12-6 advantage in the second quarter for Spanish Fort.
In the third quarter, the Lady Tigers were able to cut into the lead of Spanish Fort as they outscored the Lady Toros 10-6 in the quarter to trail 33-26 heading into the fourth.
In the fourth, T.R. Miller once again outscored Spanish Fort, this time with a 13-12 advantage, but would lose by six points, 45-39.
Leah Brundidge led the Lady Tigers in the loss with 20 points while Jasmine Montgomery added six points along with LaTeysia Montgomery.
Taylor Guthrie chipped in five points in the loss and O’Nesha Hall added two points.
