WSN varsity basketball ends season with loss to Thomasville

In their first round game of the area tournament Tuesday against Thomasville, the W.S. Neal varsity Eagle basketball team saw their season come to an end with a 99-38 loss.
The loss for the Eagles ended their season with a 3-23 record.
Thomasville took control of the game early as they rolled out to a 26-10 lead over the Eagles after the first quarter. It was pretty much the same in the second quarter as Thomasville outscored W.S. Neal by 16 points, 23-7, to increase their lead to 32 points as they headed into the locker rooms with a 49-17 lead.
In the third quarter, W.S. Neal was once again held to seven points while Thomasville poured in 29 to increase the lead to 54 points, 78-24, heading into the fourth and final quarter of play.
In the fourth, Thomasville ended the game on a 21-14 run to come one point shy of the century mark as they defeated the Eagles of East Brewton by 61, 99-38.
Jalen Harrod led the Eagles with 11 points followed by 10 points each from Derrick Hodges and Donovan Millican.
