TRM baseball now 5-2 after beating Jay Tuesday

The T.R. Miller Tiger baseball team improved their winning streak to three games Tuesday at Jay as they defeated the Royals. With the win, T.R. Miller improved to 5-2 this season.
After seeing Jay tie the game at 4-4 in the bottom of the sixth, T.R. Miller erupted for three runs in the top of the seventh inning to get the win by three after holding the Royals scoreless in the bottom of the seventh.
In the seventh, with the game tied 4-4, Caleb McAnally led the inning off with a fly out to centerfield to get one out.
From there, Jacob Fillmore followed with a single followed by a back-to-back walks and a Jay error.
Kameron Winning would get a two-RBI single later in the inning to help get the win.
At the plate for the Tigers, Collin Graves was 1-for-5 along with Conner Denton.
Kevin Davis was 2-for-3 with a double and Fillmore was 3-for-3.
Ryan Hunt was 1-for-3 with two RBIs and Caleb Dickey was 1-for-3 with one RBI.
Winn was 1-for-3 with two RBIs and Curtis Glaize was 1-for-1.
Darby Black got the start and the no decision on the mound for the Tigers. Black pitched three innings and allowed one run, and one hit. Kyle Davis pitched two innings and allowed two runs, none earned, two hits, walked two and struck out three.
Hunt went the final two innings to get the win. Hunt allowed one run, three hits, walked one and struck out two.
The Tigers were scheduled to play at home Friday night against Atmore. Game time is set for 4 p.m. with the JV playing followed by the varsity at 6 p.m. The Tigers will be back in action at home Saturday in a doubleheader against Flomaton and Northview. Game time is set for 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. in Brewton.
