Brewton Yankees defeat Indians 10-6 Thursday

In 9-10 Brewton Cal Ripken play Thursday at the Brewton YMCA Sports Park, the Brewton Yankees upended the Indians 10-6.
For the Yankees, Blake Jernigan earned the win as he pitched four innings, allowing seven hits, six runs, two walks and struck out five.
Logan Bush was 1-for-3 with a single and scored three runs and Jernigan was 1-for-1 with a double and also scored three runs. Brandon Smith was 1-for-2 with a single with one run scored and J.D. Hartin was 1-for-2 with a double and scored one run.
Brandon Coleman was 1-for-2 with a single and Stone Martin was 1-for-3 with a single. Landon Qualls and Ty Harvel both scored one run each.
For the Indians, Kyle Blevins was 2-for-3 with two singles and one run scored and Nolan Atkinson was 1-for-3 with a single and one run scored. Miller Hart was 2-for-3 with a double and a single and scored one run and Whitley Lisenby was 1-for-2 with a single and scored one run. Chance James had a single and one run scored as he went 1-for-2. Landon Sims scored one run.
On the mound, Landon Sims went 2/3 of an inning and allowed three hits, four runs, one walk and struck out none.
Lisenby went 2 1/3 innings allowing one hit, two runs, two walks and struck out five and Atkinson went one inning and allowed two hits, four runs, walked two and struck out one.
