WSN baseball beats Atmore, JV gets swept by Excel

In a Thursday game against Atmore, the W.S. Neal Eagle baseball came away with a 10-0 win over the Blue Devils to improve to 17-7 this year.
W.S. Neal scored three runs in the first and second innings along with four in the sixth inning to get the win by 10.
Reid Johnson had an RBI single in the second inning and Logan Williamson doubled to score two in the sixth inning.
Johnson was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and Hunter Mullins was 1-for-2 with a double. Tyler Joyner was 2-for-2 with an RBI for the Eagles.
On the mound, Keith Bradley went six innings and allowed three hits, no walks and struck out 11.
In a JV game against Excel Thursday, W.S. Neal lost 5-4 in game one and 7-6 in game two to drop their record to 5-10-1.
In game one, Rob Jones started on the mound and took a no decision while Justin Sessions took the loss.
At the plate, Jered Salter was 2-for-2, Malcolm Hawthorne was 2-for-2 with two RBIs and Cam Easterling was 1-for-2.
In game two, Morris got the start on the mound and pitched all five innings, giving up six unearned runs in the third inning.
At the plate for the Eagles, Brandon Carmichael was 1-for-2, Mike Williams was 1-for-2 with two RBIs, Hawthorne was 1-for-2 with RBIs and Robin Swift was 2-for-3 with one RBI.
