Brewton Yankees take down Flomaton and EB Pirates

The Brewton Yankees defeated Flomaton 8-7 in recent Cal Ripken baseball action. The Yankees scored two runs in the bottom of the last inning to get the win.
For the Yankees, Logan Bush was 1-for-2 with a single and one run scored along with Blake Jernigan, Brandon Smith and Brandon Coleman.
Jaxson Flores was 1-for-2 and J.D. Hartin scored two runs. Ty Harvell and Cole Jernigan each scored one run in the win.
On the mound for the Yankees, Jernigan went three innings and allowed five hits, seven runs, walked four, hit one and struck out four.
Bush earned the win going one inning and striking out all three batters faced.
In the second game of the night, the Yankees defeated the East Brewton Pirates 9-5.
At the plate, Bush was 1-for-1 with a single and one run scored and Jernigan was 1-for-3 with a single and one run scored. Cole Jernigan was 1-for-2 with a triple and one run scored while Stone Martin, Landon Qualls, Ty Harvell, Hartin, Mac Baxter and Earl Dolihite all scored one run each.
On the mound, Stone Martin got the win going 4 2/3 innings, allowing two hits, five runs, walked seven, hit two batters and struck out 10. Bush earned the save going 1/3 of an inning and striking out one.
For the Pirates, Jennings Hobbs was 1-for-2 with a single and one run scored and Isaac Smith was 1-for-3 with a single.
Scoring one run each for the Pirates was Tommy Salter, Jackson Carpenter, T.J. Ballard and T Simpson.
Pitching for the Pirates was Smith and Hobbs. The duo went four innings and allowed three hits, nine runs, walked eight, hit one and struck out six.
