JDCC baseball beats LBW

The Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawk baseball team cruised to a big conference win Thursday at LBW in Andalusia.
JDCC won 14-2 in seven innings to improve their overall record to 20-23 and conference record to 8-14. The two teams will play a doubleheader Saturday in Andalusia.
In the win for the Warhawks Thursday, JDCC allowed two runs to the Saints in the third inning while scoring two in the first, four in the second, one in the third, three in the sixth and four more in the seventh to win by 12.
JDCC pounded out 18 hits while holding LBW to only six. LBW committed five errors in the loss.
Corey Thompson earned the win on the mound for JDCC going seven innings and allowing six hits, two earned runs, walked and struck out three.
At the plate for JDCC, Andrew Tindell led JDCC with a 2-for-5 day and three RBIs. Tindell had a homerun and a triple in the win.
Jordan Creel and Nathan Edwards both had doubles with Creel going 2-for-3 with one RBI and Edwards going 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Kyle Freeman was 1-for-4 with two RBIs.
Dillan Schaniel was 1-for-5 and Mark Humphreys was 2-for-5. Brandon Ray was 3-for-4 with one RBI and Brandon Blackwelder was 3-for-4 with one RBI.
Dustin Bickmeyer was 3-for-5 with one RBI.
