While traffic in the Brewton area, especially the downtown area, has been affected by a train wreck this morning, both the Escambia County and Brewton City Schools will still offer bus services Friday afternoon.
“We have a plan in action and all five buses for the Brewton area are already in action and have been escorted across the tracks,” county superintendent Randall Little said. “They have opened the middle section of the tracks open for the buses.”
As for Brewton City Schools, superintendent Lynn Smith said students may be five to 10 minutes late max.
“Our two buses will go State 41 to Pea Ridge Road,” Smith said. “They may be a little late, but nothing big.”
