WSN softball falls 8-2 at Jay to end winning streak

The W.S. Neal Lady Eagle softball team saw their seven-game winning streak end Friday in Jay as they suffered an 8-2 loss to fall to 14-10.
W.S. Neal scored one run in the third inning and one in the seventh while Jay scored five in the third, two in the fourth and one in the sixth.
Kaitlin Hadaway and Jade Danley pitched in the loss.
Hadaway went three innings and struck out four, walked two, allowed four hits, five runs and two earned.
Danley went three innings and walked five, allowed one hit, three runs, two earned.
At the plate, KeKe Floyd was 2-for-3 with a triple and one run while Hadaway was 1-for-1 with a walk. Paige Grantham was 1-for-3 and Autumn Hinote was 1-for-3 with a double and one RBI.
W.S. Neal was scheduled to play a makeup game at Monroe County Monday and will play at Hillcrest Tuesday.
