Meth ingredients found at motel

A Brewton man was arrested Tuesday after officers uncovered ingredients used to manufacture methamphetamines in a local motel room.
Dustin Lee McLellan was arrested and faces several drug charges after officers with the Brewton Police Department made the discovery.
Lt. Brock Holt said officers executed a search warrant on a room at Colonial Manor motel on South Boulevard in Brewton.
“Agent with the narcotics division had received a tip concerning the manufacturing of methamphetamines,” Holt said. “During the course of the investigation, those agents were able to obtain a search warrant for the room at the motel.”
Brewton Police Department’s special response team as well as agents with the narcotics division executed the search warrant and made the arrest, Holt said.
McLellan has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamines; unlawful possession of a controlled substance – Xanax; second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana; possession of precurser chemicals; manufacturing of a controlled substance in the second degree and possession of drug paraphernalia.
McLellan was transported to the Escambia County Detention Center where he was booked on the charges against them.
