EB Thunder rolls to 7-0 win over Scrappers Tuesday

The Thunder 7/8 baseball team took on the Scrappers in East Brewton Tuesday night and came away with a 7-0 win.
Collin Nelson started the game off with an inside-the-park homerun.
Following the homerun by Nelson, Easton Grace hit a single and Dustin Godwin came up to bat with no outs and a runner on first and hit a two-run homer (inside-the-park) to right field to make the score 3-0.
Blake McNew followed with a single, as did Dakota Rose to put runners at first and third. Gavin Rose then hit a single, which drove in the fourth and final run of the inning.
No runs were scored by either team until the third inning when the Thunder came rolling back with three more runs.
The Scrappers failed to get past second base the entire contest as time expired in the top of the fourth inning with the Thunder winning by seven.
Nelson was 1-for-2 at the plate with a homerun and Grace was 1-for-2. Godwin was 2-for-2 with a homerun and two RBIs and McNew was 2-for-2 with one RBI.
Dakota Rose was 2-for-2 and Gavin Rose was 2-for-2 with one RBI.
Evanda Campbell, Micah Martin and Langham Parr were all 1-for-2 for the Thunder in the win.
The Thunder will be back in action Friday night taking on Flomaton at 7 p.m. for their final game which will decide who will be the league champions.
The Thunder is a half of game behind league leader Bulls, which ended their season Tuesday night against the Hot Rods.
